Who We’re Helping
All proceeds from Venus de Miles will go to Greenhouse Scholars–a nonprofit organization headquartered in Downtown Boulder. They support high-performing, under-resourced college students in Colorado with personal, academic, and professional support as well as a significant financial scholarship. This unique Whole Person© approach to providing scholarships is designed to help ensure that students succeed in college and become community leaders making a difference.
Whether you come out to support yourself, to support women, or just to tone your calves, by becoming a part of this event you are making a real difference in the lives of many Greenhouse Scholars.

Linda Castillo
Linda grew up in a rough neighborhood where many shootings took place. Dealing with the constant threat of violence and being forced to shield her younger siblings was difficult. Linda found strength in these difficult circumstances and now wishes to become a prosecutor so that she can help people in neglected communities find justice. After a very difficult cross-country trip to continue her academic career at the University of Pennsylvania, Linda has excelled in her classes. She has even started to learn a new language, Arabic. Her mentor, Diana Hare says, “It has been great to see the enthusiasm with which Linda has embraced her college experience. Her ability to meet these new challenges while retaining her focus on her life plans is impressive.”
